Minor Bantam

The Cumberland Jr Bandits Minor Bantam AAA is made up entirely of players who play AAA and AA winter hockey. The team has taken part in 3 tournaments so far this spring season.

In our first tournament, we lost in the semi-finals to a powerful Montreal Royals team in the 7th round of overtime shoot-out. Montreal went on to win easily in the Finals.

Our second tournament saw 11 teams competing in the Little Sens Tournament. We finished with a 4-0 record in the round robin, and we won our semi-final game, allowing 3 goals against in 5 games. We then went on to lose in the finals by a score of 3-2 against the Capital City Cyclones, made up entirely of AAA winter players.

In our third tournament at the Toronto GTA Memorial Classic, we went 3-1 in the round robin, and lost 2-1 in the semi-finals. We ended up with the bronze medal, finishing 3rd out of 18 teams competing in the Bantam division of that tournament.

We have one tournament left in Toronto in early June. It is the "Bring Your Best" Canlan tournament, which features elite AAA teams, 14 teams are registered in that event.
